2026 is the 30th anniversary of not only the release of the very first Pokmon games, Japans Pocket Monsters Red and Green on February 27 of 1996, but also the very first Japanese Pokmon TCG cards with October 20, 1996s 1st Starter & Expansion Pack, meaning the celebrations are going to last the whole year
The main reason that this has been the case is because of the sheer number of cards that the Pokmon has received, as it is prominently featured on 508 cards , which is by far the most of any Pokmon in the game
